Profile of Matthew Horton - Director
Matt Horton is a sixteen year veteran of the Information Technology and E-Commerce industries.
He started his career shortly
after graduating High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he began
consulting and building donor databases for several non-profit organizations.
In the late 80's, he began working with Apple Computer and helped pioneer the prepress desktop publishing industry in South Florida.
In the early 90's, Matt moved to Dallas and turned his attention toward the emerging e-commerce industry, and spent the entire decade leading technology efforts of start-up companies such as Altus Communications, Intellicall, Transactive, and Solutioneering. Additionally, he was the directing website producer and technologist for Hello World, CheapLD.com, giggo.com, the automotive division of E-LOAN, and MotorPlace Auto Exchange.
Currently, Matt lives with his wife Shannon and their four children in Coral Springs, Florida. He is the Vice President of Technology for Cyrus Technologies, Inc. of Fort Lauderdale, and is working on bringing e-commerce offerings to the Building Automation industry.
He also is a member of, and presides over, the board of members of Progress Fabrication Services, LLC of Pompano Beach, and is an executive director for Cornerstone Planning Foundation.
